HONR 201: Research Essay
The Introduction to Honors course is where I first began to learn the basics found to conduct research correctly in the parameters of the honors research competency. The Honors 201 course has taught me that effective and memorable research involves innovative ideas and boundless creativity. This can only be achieved through careful and articulate use of information literacy and synthesis. In learning more about how to approach research correctly, I discovered how to effectively use sources that efficiently supports a topic, but still allows an individual voice and opinion to be seen within the research that is present. Additionally, I discovered how to organize the ideas of other authors in research in an order that makes sense and is fair. Above all, I learned that research has the power to move and influence those who are willing to deeply look into and connect with their research topics.
